MORE THAN JUST PCS – THE PC SHOW 2008 SET TO BE BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER BEFORE
Organiser expects to welcome more than one million bargain hunters over four-day event
Singapore, 12 June 2008 – Marking the 18 th year since the establishment of The PC Show, Singapore’s longest running consumer technology show is showcasing more ‘magic’ this year than ever before. With an additional three floors and more than double the space of last year’s show, a record 600 exhibitors are showcasing their latest products and technologies at Suntec Singapore from today until 15 June 2008.
Ms Gillian Loh, project manager, Lines Exposition and Management Services comments, “Following the tremendous success of last year’s PC Show, we have seen more than 70 per cent of exhibitors sign up with us this year. Despite this being the show’s 18 th year, it continues to grow in scale and stature with a year on year increase in sales figures, and we continue to enjoy strong support from consumers. To meet demand we have more than doubled the floor space at Suntec Singapore to occupy Levels One, Three, Four and Six to accommodate about 600 exhibitors and one million anticipated consumers.
“IT aficionados can look forward to an extensive array of the latest and greatest products – be it computer ware, imaging solutions, games or consumer electronics – from leading brands such as Apple, Casio, NEC, Samsung and Sony. Coupled with great discounts and promotions, we invite all bargain hunters to join us at the annual affair, starting today.”
To reward consumers for their continuous support to The PC Show, the organiser is holding a “Lucky Purchaser’s Draw”. For every $50 spent at the show, visitors will get a coupon which entitles them a chance at the draw with the grand prize of $10,000 in cash and other attractive prizes such as LCD televisions, digital cameras and iPods. Winners will be picked when the show closes this Sunday.
Ms Mary Lim, Assistant Manager, Marketing & Communications, Computer Systems Division, Toshiba Singapore Pte Ltd says, "We have been a staunch supporter of The PC Show for many years now. Not only does The PC Show provide us a platform for Toshiba notebook PCs to remain top-of-mind recall with the consumers, it is also a great avenue to understand market trends and ascertain our brand position . We will be showcasing more new notebook PCs and must-have gadgets to cater to the consumers' thirst for more technological devices and we expect to have yet another perfect year at the PC Show 2008."
